Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of YHWH is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but YHWH shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the nations shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the wealth of the nations shall come unto thee. ISAIAH 60:1-5
When the glory of the Lord arises upon you, look what happens: the nations come to you and kings come to you. And they bring their money with them! Verse 6 says that they will bring gold and incense. The gold follows the glory! Gold is a type of the glory of God in Scripture. When the glory of God shows up in your life, it attracts its physical counterpart. Wealth is manifested glory. Gold is physical glory.
Verse 7 of Isaiah 60 tells us that God will glorify the house of His glory. That’s you and me! We are the house of God; we are His temple. Look at Solomon’s temple – it was covered in gold! Because gold is the manifestation of glory!
Verse 9 tells us that we are going to have sons who will come with silver and gold. They are going to be people who see the glory of God upon us and get saved. They will be our children in the Lord. And they come loaded with gold and silver! Listen, how do you think God is going to effect the coming wealth-transfer? His glory is going to be seen upon us and it will attract the unsaved. Their money will mean nothing in that day. What use is money when the glory of God is in the midst? Why will this happen? Verse 9 tells us: “Because He has glorified you.” Glory!
Verse 11 tells us that this will be a 24-hour operation – men coming with their wealth. Verse 12 tells us that the Lord will make the place of His feet glorious. That’s everywhere that you and I walk, my brother and sister. Because He is walking in us. Verse 14 tells us we will be the very Zion of God – that is, the place where the Lord dwells and reigns from!
In verse 19 we see that God Himself is our glory in that day. Financial wealth and political & economic dominion will be ours when the glory is risen upon us. The gold follows the glory. Therefore, if you want the gold, seek the glory!
Everything you and I need is in that glory. In fact, if it’s not in the glory, you ought not touch it. Let me ask you: is sickness in the glory? Is sin in the glory? Is poverty in the glory? The very streets are paved with gold in the glory! “Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.” As it is in the glory!!
But thou shalt remember YHWH thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. DEUTERONOMY 8:18
God gives power to get wealth in order to establish the Abrahamic Covenant. Look what happened after God began to covenant with Abraham in Genesis 12. Verse 7 tells us that God appeared to Abram. A few verses later, in Genesis 13 verse 2 it tells us that Abram was very rich in cattle, silver and gold! What happened? God showed up! And the cattle on a thousand hills followed Him. The silver and gold followed Him. The cattle on a thousand hills are His. The silver and gold belong to Him. When God visited with Abram, He just happened to leave a few things behind!!!
What is this power to get wealth spoken of in Deuteronomy 8:18? The very promise of God to Abraham had the power in itself to bring wealth into Abraham’s life. 2 Peter 1:3,4 tells us that God’s Divine POWER has given to us all things pertaining to life and godliness. It’s speaking of the same thing as Deuteronomy 8:18! It is the POWER to obtain the resources necessary to establish the covenant. These verses in 2 Peter tells us that this POWER is made available through knowledge and this knowledge is understood by reviewing the promises! The promise itself has power to accomplish what it promises!
Abraham believed what God said. He believed God’s promise. He just accepted that what God said, He would bring to pass. The POWER of the promise was therefore activated in Abraham’s life. Wealth showed up!
Abraham had the promise. This contained the POWER. Note that he also had the PRESENCE. God appeared to him. The power to get wealth is therefore twofold. It is God’s Promise – the Word. And it is His Presence. We could say that the power to get wealth comes from the Word and the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The Gospel is the power of God. “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.” We get all excited because God came and visited Abraham in Person. But Abraham rejoiced to see OUR day! Because he had the Presence as special life events; we have the abiding Presence all the time. Abraham had the Promise and the Presence to prosper him. But we have access to far more of both in our day.
The power to get wealth equates with the glory of the Lord. To get wealth, you need the glory to show up. To get wealth, you need the power to get wealth. The glory of the Lord is His POWER. 1 Corinthians 6:14 tells us that God raised up the Lord by His power. Romans 6:4 tells us that Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father. The glory of the Lord is His power!!! Read Habakkuk 3:3,4 and you will see God’s glory and where He hides His power.
What is the best way to get this glory of God to show up in your life? Simply this: you glorify God and He will glorify you. Give God all the glory and He will see to it you get yours. God will not share His glory with other gods but He will share His glory with you. It is His good pleasure to glorify His people in the earth. In fact, the glorification of God’s people leads to more glory for Him. He glorifies Himself in and through His people. Remember when David exhorted his listeners to magnify the God Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant in Psalm 35:27? What he was really saying was “Give God the credit and glory for prospering me – and He’ll keep prospering me to obtain more glory.” You see, God will be whatever you need or want Him to be, so long as you glorify Him in it.
Read the accounts of the feeding of the multitudes in Matthew’s Gospel. The secret of these miracles is this: Jesus gave thanks. He glorified God for what they had. As a result, God multiplied what they had. If you give God glory, He’ll show up in greater glory still. You’ll be able to live on the fallout of that glory! That is the secret of gold. Give God the glory, He’ll give YOU the gold. Give God the glory and He’ll multiply it back on you. Give God the gold (physical glory), He’ll multiply that back on you too. He is El Shaddai, the God of multiplication. He is more than enough. He is never equal to your need – He is greater than your need by immeasurable amounts. He is the God of the hundredfold and the thousandfold. You have to get this revelation of Him. If you get this revelation of God, you could take your place with the world’s wealthiest tycoons. Abraham did. So did Isaac and Jacob. So did Joseph. So did Job.
All the glory belongs to Him. The earth is His, with all its mineral resources. You are his heir. Let it sink in. Nothing is withheld from you.
I am saying this by the Spirit of God: every Christian is created as a magnet for gold and silver. This is a scientific fact in the spirit realm. It is time we learned how to energise our magnets. We can do this by giving God the glory. When His glory fills the whole earth, the gold and silver will start piling up in the homes of believers. But remember: if satan can prevent us giving God the glory, he can hinder us from receiving the gold.
You have a right to gold and silver. You have a right to manifested wealth. This truth is probably the most contested truth in the world today. Imagine if you were wealthy enough to buy a media empire and change every TV channel, every newspaper, every radio station, every website in that empire into a Bible-promoting, Holy Ghost vehicle to reach the world. That is God’s plan. So give God the glory and watch the gold show up in your life! It will happen!
